One of my greatest passions is music. I have dreamed of doing it full time but the music business has become so cut-throat that only a very talented few can sustain themselves.
We used to play a lot as Durban’s best (and only) Afrikaans band called Systraat Serenade and even made a proper music video that played on a local music video channel.
When our bassist, Christoff moved to Cape Town we decided to start a side project called Sidestreet Serenade as a tribute to our original band. So here we play as a three-piece featuring Geraldine Singh.
